This year was our 10th (!!!) year doing this, and we can’t believe we’ve reached such a huge milestone as Orlando Wedding Planners. We’ve seen so many amazing things & wedding trends over the past decade and can’t wait to see what the coming years bring.
The biggest change for us this year was to our team. If you know us, you know we’ve been a pretty tight team from the (almost) start. But, nothing lasts forever and we are always so happy to see our team members move on to things that help fill their cup and create the best opportunities for them. Training has been a huge thing for us this year, and helping our team understand the why behind every little thing we do throughout the chaos of wedding days.
We have also revisited how much we want to take on as a company. Being a more exclusive group of Orlando Wedding Planners has made us able to concentrate more on our client experience rather than churning out a large number of weddings. We’ve had so many wonderful couples this year and are so lucky to do what we love day in and day out!
If you know us, you know that we don’t really love “wedding trends” because we view them as just that-what everyone else is looking to do. We’re more of the timeless, classic, something-you’ll-love-in-20-years-still type of thing. Because of that, we steer away from trendy style elements or decor pieces, but more so on the experience your guests will receive. We have been seeing more and more focal points happening at weddings. Not so much of over the top decor all over the place, but more so of a couple of ‘wow’ moments or pieces throughout the decor. We are also seeing more party enhancements during your reception. This can mean hiring some kind of entertainer or dancer, including a CO2 gun with your party, incorporating live music with your DJ or having a live painter at your wedding. These are the wedding trends that your guests will be posting about online and walk away remembering for a long time!
When planning your wedding in 2023, don’t concentrate too much on wedding trends, but making your wedding your own and an enjoyable experience for everyone the entire reception! Don’t forget to book your wedding vendors early because we are still in a wedding boom and vendors’ calendars get booked up on popular dates quickly.
