Central Florida is rich with Hidden Gem Venues!
Orlando and the surrounding area is home to so many unique wedding venues. Not only do we have a vibrant downtown area but we have the proximity to the beach. But why stop there? From historic buildings and museums to golf clubs and hundreds of hotels, you are sure to find the perfect location for your perfect day.
Earlier this year, Caitlin, owner of Plan It, was asked to join Andrea Jackson on Fox 35 Orlando to discuss just a few of our favorite “hidden gem venues” around the Central Florida area {click here to watch!}. It proved to be quite difficult to pick just three venues that we wanted to share.
3 Historic Hidden Gem Venues
Orchid Garden – As part of the iconic Church Street Station, Orchid Garden is a grand recreation of a Victorian crystal palace. From its majestic curved staircases, wrought iron rafter, breathtaking balconies and outdoor courtyard, Orchid Garden is an ideal wedding venue. Winter Park Farmer’s Market – This old train depot is one of the area’s most popular sites due to its unique architecture and historic nature. Right in the heart of Winter Park, this hidden gem is a truly unique experience. Don’t be surprised if your ceremony is momentarily interrupted by a SunRail train racing by! Highland Manor – Located in Apopka, this historic Victorian mansion was built in 1903. Steeped in rich history, this unique wedding venue will take you back in time. Bella Collina -The unique Tuscan inspired design at Bella Collina will give you and your guests the experience of a destination wedding without the travel. 3 Waterfront Hidden Gem Venues
Tavares Pavillion on the Lake -Located in Wooton Park in downtown Tavares, this two-story event center features glass window walls, providing an unparalleled lake view that can be seen from several vantage points. An ornate staircase is located at the front of the grand ballroom and a carved, two-tier, winding wood staircase with a gentle landing, fit for any princess, is the feature piece on the back glass wall overlooking the lake. Paradise Cove – Tucked away in a private corner of Lake Buena Vista, Paradise Cove is an idyllic oasis on the shores of Lake Bryan. Twinkling lights and tiki torches add to the magical glow of this secluded paradise. Rainbow-hued Adirondack chairs, a palm-thatched cabana, and sandy beach lend an island vibe to the setting.
