It’s been a few years since we’ve done a review, so we wanted to make sure we did a 2023 Wedding Recap this year. It was a long, but at the same time, short year, and we truly cannot believe that we are heading into 2024. We are so lucky to be going into our 12th year, and are honored to be a part of each and every one of our clients’ special days!
The biggest thing we learned this year was about the gift of time and how we choose to spend it. We have limited availability for weddings, due to family and other commitments, so we are a bit more exclusive when choosing how to spend our time-either with clients, vendors, meetings, etc. Time is something we will never get back, so we’ve been working smarter instead of harder for a lot of things along the way. When it comes to helping our clients plan their timelines, we make sure they incorporate what is truly important to them, and not just what is “traditionally” done for weddings. Gone are the days where you HAVE to do certain things a certain way.
We are definitely including in our 2023 Wedding Recap that it’s ok to take some time off, and we embraced that this year! We took the Summer off from weddings and it was a much needed break. It gave us the opportunity to realize that time is important and we were able to re-focus our energy in other places, while preparing for a busy fall wedding season.
While we don’t play favorites per say, we will say that part of our ‘favorites’ in our 2023 Wedding Recap is the general scenario of clients that trusted us with their entire wedding weekend celebrations. It’s an honor when someone trusts us with their wedding day, but an even bigger honor when they let us take the reigns on all of their wedding weekend events. We are seeing more and more couples want to include a weekend experience for their guests, so there is more planning and details that need to be a part of that! From live entertainment for your welcome party, to making sure your guests get their welcome bags, to having the perfect menu for your intimate rehearsal dinner, we love being a part of every step along the way-in addition to the best day of your lives!
While we are looking back at this year, we are also looking ahead at what 2024 will bring. We are manifesting positive energy for a successful & happy year for us, our industry and our clients. We are keeping boundaries and priorities straight, and focusing on continuing to build relationships with those around us.
