As 2019 (& this decade!) is coming to a close, we thought we’d round it out with some of the wedding trends we saw this year. Trends can come and go, but we don’t think these are going anywhere for a bit. From bridesmaids dresses to bouquets to custom decor & more, we hope you enjoy a walk down Memory Lane with us!
Bouquets
The bouquet is one of the most photographed (besides the couple) pieces of the wedding day, and we are loving some of the stunners we saw this year! Generally, we are seeing a lot more color in the flowers, and this stands out against the bride’s gown. We are also seeing more organic-looking arrangements with lots of different textures; ones that looked as if they were just picked and put together.
Personalized Details
This is one of the wedding trends that might be our favorite. We’re always telling couples to make their wedding THEIR wedding. Putting personal details of your interests, pets, monograms are the small details that bring it all together. We loved the handmade bowties of feathers because the groom liked to hunt, or the embroidered napkins of the couple’s new monogram at each place setting, or the signature drink sign of the couple’s precious pup.

Party Enhancements
We are seeing more and more of this trend this year, and don’t anticipate it going anywhere in 2020! Weddings are all about celebrating, and why not celebrate by elevating the party?! We LOVE seeing couples incorporate CO2 cannons, a confetti drop, live drummers, sparkler boxes or live entertainment like samba dancers into their unforgettable receptions.

Custom Stationery
We’ve noticed one of the most popular wedding trends of 2019 was custom stationery or wedding day papers. A gorgeous invitation suite that you can’t find anywhere else or an over the top extravagant seating chart will do the trick. Guests will be wowed at the small details you’ve taken the time to design & plan with your vendor team!

Bridesmaids
There are literally thousands of shades of bridesmaids dresses out there! We know we saw so many throughout the year. Some common shades we noticed that will stay around for a while are the ever-popular dusty blue and a soft pink/mauve/blush shade. We think that these work for all skin colors and we’re personally loving the mismatched styles in the same shade.

Rentals
The last of our favorite 2019 wedding trends has to do with rentals. We’re seeing lots of couples invest in the look & feel of their wedding, more so than just in floral and linens. They are wanting decor-enhancing charger plates, goblets, flatware, mirrored tables, sweetheart chairs & more! This extravagant head table was made of multiple mirrored tables and enhanced with specialty chairs for the couple. Geometric placemats made their way into this jewel-toned wedding design along with colored glassware and we are loving it!

2019 was a great year for wedding trends, decor and for our company! But, we cannot wait to see what 2020 has in store for us & our couples (past and present)! We’d love to hear some trends you’re loving, so share them with us!
