Nina & Michael – September 7, 2019 – Orchid Garden
There really isn’t anything from this Downtown Orlando wedding that we didn’t love. This couple & their guests traveled from South Florida to celebrate their love, and we were so happy to be a part of it!
Most of the guests stayed at the Aloft in Downtown, and the girls enjoyed the morning in matching PJs while sipping champagne and getting pampered. Once Nina was dressed & ready (and looking so beautiful!), she was escorted to City Hall to meet her Groom. No, they were not going to get married in City Hall, but instead having their first look there. The building was next door to the hotel and had such beautiful architecture. It gave the couple the opportunity to walk around a bit for their couple portraits of this Downtown Orlando wedding before hopping on the bus to get to the venue with the bridal party.
The entire bridal party looked sharp and formal in their all-black attire. They took photos as a group in the beautiful courtyard at Orchid Garden. We loved the contrast of the black in such a bright & airy space on such a beautiful summer day. We snuck everyone inside to relax for a while guests were arriving before the ceremony.
This venue is so unique for a Downtown Orlando Wedding, and the first floor is was set for the ceremony. Guests would watch the nuptials take place on the balcony and stairs. This ensures that everyone can see everything! The railings were decorated in simple greenery garlands with some blooms, and the aisle was lined with candles to add romance to the space.
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the courtyard while we snuck the newlyweds off for more photos around the city. We were also resetting the space inside for the first level to turn into the dance floor. The reception was upstairs and beautifully set. Round guest tables were dressed in soft ivory linens and accented with gold chairs and charger plates. The centerpieces were simple, but a classic favorite of ours, with some greenery around a trio of candles.
Guests made their way back inside for the formalities before the meal, and the space was transformed from when they last saw it. Market lights were strung ahead, which looked amazing with the lights dimmed. After the meal, the party started, and it didn’t stop until the bitter end. FSU chants, CO2 blasts and sparkler boxes made this reception unforgettable for their guests! Nina & Michael even ordered pizza for their guests to enjoy as a late night snack on their way out to do their sparkler exit!
