Every band has a starting point, and theirs is so interesting. C’Nergy’s owner, Rafael, was asked to put a band together to perform out of the country in 2010 and things fell into place after that. His wife & band manager, Debbie, really launched them into the wedding industry and the rest is history. They now do 50+ weddings a year, along with corporate and social gigs. If you have never hired live entertainment before, there are multiple things to consider. Think about lighting, staging and number of musicians. C’Nergy Music has a few different options for live music for your wedding reception, ranging from 8-12 pieces in the band. “Our package includes 4 hour (non-continuous) service, MC/ Hosting, stage sound with a sound engineer and a crew, stage wash lights, and pre-mixed DJ music for band intermission”, Debbie says. If you envisioned also having live music for your ceremony, they can include sound for ceremony and cocktail hour for an additional fee.
Any good band can play the ‘standard’ wedding songs. C’Nergy not only does this, but is constantly learning modern songs and even mix sounds and cultures throughout their sets. They love adding a touch of Latin music to their sound, and guests enjoy it too! Lastly, we often hear couples struggle with the decision of a band vs a DJ and we cannot recommend live entertainment enough. C’Nergy Music agrees, naturally, but they add “having live entertainment is one of the highlights of the night and your guests will be raving long after the wedding is over!”
