It’s no secret that a long time favorite venue of ours is Lake Mary Events Center. This Orlando Venue is so picturesque and pretty, no matter where you are on property! We recently caught up with their team to provide more information for you!
Operated by the city of Lake Mary, it opened in January 2008 and has a dedicated full time staff to maintain its beauty. They do well over 200 weddings per year, any day of the week, and are ready to see what 2022 brings! We know first hand that they always strive to offer the best customer service in a timely and efficient manner. There are a lot of details when it comes to a wedding, so being available to clients for any of their questions or concerns is one of their biggest priorities.
At the Lake Mary Events Center, a full building rental gives you access to the entire
venue (indoor and Lakeside lawn), a set time block of either 7 or 8 hours as well as
tables and chairs. This is the perfect amount of time for a standard set up, wedding and breakdown. They do require you to work with one of their preferred caterers, but with 11 to choose from, you have plenty of options! This is so important because you want your vendors (especially planners and caterers) to be familiar with your venue.
Our favorite detail of Lake Mary Events Center is the Rotunda, which is made up of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake. This is a great option for ceremonies, or if you’re planning an outdoor ceremony, a good backup plan. We have seen so many layout options in the Grand Ballroom before, but we love when couples mix long tables with round tables (here and at any venue, actually!). Their team agrees with us. It adds some dimension to their large ballroom and creates a better guest experience, while looking chic at the same time!
Lastly, the advice that the Lake Mary Events Center team gave us for couples looking for a venue is to stay true to your vision! We couldn’t agree more because it’s so easy to let others’ opinions influence you, but keep in mind that it is your wedding at the end of the day. The venue sets the tone for the entire wedding, so be sure to start with something that expresses your personalities and ties in with the look & feel for your guests to enjoy as well!
