The history for the Pavilion goes all the way back to the early 1900s, when there were a few ideas on how to create this concept and a special committee to oversee the construction. It was eventually finished being built at the end of 1914. It was used as the first community center for different civic and social organizations to use for a half a century until it diminished so badly that it had to be torn down in 1960. After some time, residents and local politicians decided to bring it back to life in a bigger & better fashion, and the Tavares Pavilion as we know it was rebuilt and opened its doors in August of 2014!
Having done many weddings there since it has opened, we can attest to their dedicated team to make your event a success! They allow you to have full access of the entire building, which is helpful for vendor storage rooms and dressing rooms. Their staff is also one of the most helpful teams we’ve worked with at a venue in our area-willing to help with anything before and on the wedding day! When you rent the venue, it comes with event tables and chairs as well.
Tavares Pavilion also offers screens for all of your digital signage (upstairs and downstairs). This helps in this modern era! They say that this is their favorite trend right now as “they save time and money from doing the traditional place cards and they are easily updated in case there are any last minute changes”. There are so many different templates out there and it is something your guests will certainly appreciate on the wedding day!
