Kari & Gina are the founders of About Face Design Team, which incorporated in 1996 out of a passion to help people look their absolute best for any reason or occasion. ‘About Face’ is a military term for turning around to face a different direction. The company name ‘About Face Design Team’ is a play on that term – a double-entendre. It came about because of an absolute need and desire to turn one’s life around. “We are absolutely passionate about making people feel and look their best!”, says Kari.
In addition to wedding day beauty, brides can also get their 5 star services for beauty needs for engagement shoots, bridal showers, etc. They also consider the grooms too! They can include male grooming or a light airbrush foundation to even his complexion for professional photos. “It’s also his special day, and just like the bride, he should be pampered, look and feel his best!, Gina says.
With so many vidoes and tutuorials out there, trends can come and go. Overall, About Face Design Team loves a fresh look, which can combine bright lips with a monochromatic radiance on the skin & eyes. Don’t forget the lashes & brows- which are huge right now in anything beauty!
When asked their favorite part of preparing the bride & her ladies on the wedding day, their lead artist said “definitely the ‘reveal’ at the end when she sees herself all done up and instantly lights up!”. You can even take this further, and do a ‘reveal’ with your bridesmaids once you are in your dress & veil and capture their reactions!
