Ashlyn & Austin – March 16, 2024 – The Alfond Inn
When we think of all our weddings in the last couple of years, this Black & White Alfond Inn Wedding comes to mind as one of the top for us. The couple was so fun and so genuine, and honestly, we cried like 5 times at this wedding! It was such a special and fun day for a great couple and family.
Ashlyn enjoyed getting ready in the gorgeous suite this property offers, and it’s truly a must see. The couple chose to keep it traditional and not do a first look prior to the ceremony. We were able to get their separate wedding party and family photos done before guests arrived and the nerves set in!
The scene was perfect for a Spring wedding, but was a bit warm. Their ceremony was on the event lawn, facing the iconic conservatory. The unique ceremony signage set the tone for this wedding at the back of the lawn, and guests were welcomed by a classic quartet as they took their seats. After a heartfelt ceremony performed by a family friend, guests enjoyed an indoor cocktail hour while the newlyweds took photos around property.
We were busy making sure the reception was set in the ballroom. The details were simple, elegant and timeless, with hints of white, black and gold. Tables were dressed in crisp white linens, with gold chairs and black napkins. Centerpieces were alternating tall and short to give dimension to the room. The soft white uplighting added a glow to the room. Our favorite decorative detail was the black and white checkered dance floor!
There were surprises and fun moments throughout this one, and we loved celebrating this milestone with such a fun group. Ashlyn & Austin, a huge thank you for letting us be a part of your black & white Alfond Inn wedding! XO
