Jacqueline & Graham – November 16, 2019 – Doe Lake Campground
This Boho Ocala Campground wedding was a fall color palette’s dream come true! Rich in jewel tones, it went perfectly with the natural backdrop at Doe Lake Campground in Ocala, Florida. The couple chose this location because they had visited on family vacations throughout their lives. We loved that they chose a location that truly meant something to them!
The weather for this November day was somewhat unusual-cold and drizzly! It felt like we were more in Seattle than Central Florida. But, we didn’t let it dampen the day at all and most of the drizzle stopped by ceremony time. The couple chose to do a first look and photos with their wedding party beforehand. We loved the colors of the bridesmaids dresses, especially with their bouquets against them!
The ceremony area was set with rustic benches for guests to sit on. The ‘altar’ area was decorated beautifully with a long row of dried pampas grass and a large area rug to set the stage. Smaller rugs lined down the aisle as well. Cocktail hour took place under and around the Sperry tent, with lounge areas around it for guests to take in the ambiance. The couple’s favorite band was playing for their guests during this time, as a personal touch.
Our favorite part of this Boho Ocala Campground wedding was the transformation of the “dining hall” area. The picnic tables and benches were used for guests to sit on, but extra farm tables and french country chairs were brought in for additional seating. This added dimension to the layout! Tables were dressed in flowy gauze runners, candlesticks and gorgeous floral accents. Every place setting had an amber-colored plate and matching goblet, with black dipped gold flatware. Talk about details! The biggest part of the decor actually hung above everyone. Floral chandeliers were hung to add romance to the dining space!
After a delicious Italian meal (where everyone truly felt like family) and some heartfelt toasts, guests made their way back outside to warm up on the dance floor. A decadent dessert table and a late night taco truck rounded out the night for this amazing wedding!
Jacqueline & Graham, thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful Boho Ocala Campground wedding! We loved seeing the transformation of the space, thanks to an amazing vendor team.
