We’ve been seeing our clients create a Wedding Website more often than not nowadays. We really love this idea because it lets your guests know the information that they normally might ask you about. Below are our common inclusions to consider when creating your website!
There are quite a few options on how to actually start your wedding website. Resources like WeddingWire, The Knot, Minted or Zola all have templates that you can choose from.
You can include as much or as little as you’d like, but you do want to include enough that your guests don’t pester you with questions that they could easily find online. Some common pages we see are ‘Our Story’, ‘Events’, ‘Registry’, ‘Travel/Accommodations’, ‘FAQs’ and ‘Photos’.
Here are some ideas on what to include on those pages:
– how you met and how you got engaged
– photos throughout your relationship together (this is a great opportunity to show off your engagement photos if you have them at this point!)
– ceremony/reception time & location(s) (pro tip: include the venue’s website link so they can get a feel for your wedding vibe!)
– direct links to your registries to make online shopping easy for your guests
– location & pricing details on hotel room blocks, transportation you’re providing, things to do in the area, etc
– helpful information on an unplugged ceremony, if it’s a kid-friendly wedding, dress code, etc. This is all typically information that isn’t shared on the invitation itself.
We hope you are now able to create a wedding website. Know that we are always happy to review our clients’ wedding websites with our services to give feedback on what they have created. We love seeing all of the details that our couples share and reading more about them! The best advice we could give is to make it your own because after all, it’s YOUR wedding!
