Here’s some common Wedding Caterer FAQs
Let’s talk about booking your wedding caterer! We have a common list of Wedding Caterer FAQs that we share exclusively with our clients, but we’d also love to educate you on this topic as well. Once you’ve found your perfect venue, and most likely your photographer at this point, you’re ready to tackle the next biggest portion of your budget-food & beverage! This can also help you decide on your venue if the facility comes with catering services.
Q: Do they carry liability insurance – including liquor liability? This is probably the biggest thing to ask. This should be a no brainer, but you just want to make sure. If you plan to serve alcohol at your reception, you’ll want to make sure they have liquor liability as well.
Q: What is included in the menu cost? Probably one of the best Wedding Caterer FAQs. Every caterer can do more of an A La Carte style of
Q: Going off of above and adding to this list of Wedding Caterer FAQs, do they include anything else besides food & beverage? Often times, caterers can include options for rentals, linens or desserts. It doesn’t hurt to ask them and going through one vendor might be easier for all of these items!
Q: Is a menu tasting complimentary once you book their service, if there’s one at all? How many guests does it accommodate? This is important to ask because you’re going to want to taste your wedding’s food. The tasting is also where you meet the chef, discuss dietary restrictions and ask questions about how the meal is prepared.
Q: Discuss staff duties. Will the staff set up at the venue? Will they clean up and take out the trash at the end of the night? Will they cut & serve the wedding cake you have delivered? How will the staff be dressed on the wedding day? Some of these are good to know and directly relate to the rest of the vendor team. We like to know who will be responsible for what, so if they do not cover something, we can help you find someone who can accommodate.
Q: Will they let you provide your own alcohol? Every caterer is different on their rules for this, depending on their liquor liability. It’s an option for you to weigh, as it can save you money, but is an added task for you to take on. Wedding Caterers can provide you a quantity sheet as a guide should you choose to provide your own for them to serve.
We hope these Wedding Caterer FAQs guide you in the right direction when making this huge wedding decision. We’d be happy to give more guidance on this topic and recommend some of our favorite caterers to work with throughout Central Florida!
