Here’s Some Common Wedding Photographer FAQs
Once you’ve nailed down the perfect place to say ‘I Do’ {and the perfect planners! ;)}, it’s time to choose your photographer. Keep in mind that your photos are the only thing that you will walk away from your wedding with. All of the planning, timing, details and decor won’t matter if you don’t have {professional} photos of them! We work with some of the best photographers in Central Florida and are happy to recommend one that fits your needs & budget the best.
Q: How soon should I hire a wedding photographer?
A: In most cases you should start looking for a photographer almost as soon as you book your reception venue. Keep in mind most of the better photographers are booked a year or more in advance.
Q: Where do I start my search?
A: There are many sources to reference in your search for the right photographer for you. We first and foremost suggest your venue’s preferred list. Those are the photographers that know your venue best (which is what you want!!). You can also look on wedding websites like The Knot or WeddingWire, or even attend a wedding show. Your network is a great place to start as well by asking your co-workers who recently got married who photographed their perfect day.
After you’ve established that you like their work and they fit into your budget, here are a few other wedding photographer FAQs:
How long have they been in business? Do they have General Liability Insurance? (some venues require it)
Who will be actually photographing your wedding and how many cameras will be there?
How soon after the wedding will my photos be ready?
Will they be viewable on a website for guests to purchase safely (password protected)?
How much time will you be spending at the wedding? What is the cost to add additional time?
Have they photographed at your particular venue?
Will they extend a discount rate since you are working with Plan It?
Choosing your photographer can be overwhelming, but still so exciting. Trust us when we say to make sure you like them as a person, and not just their work. You will be spending more time with your photographer than with your new spouse on the wedding day!
