Jessica & Sean – April 2, 2011 – St. Stephen’s Catholic Church & Longwood Community Building
We loved the sweet touches that were etched in tradition that Jessica incorporated throughout her spring blue wedding. They both were extremely close to their families and wanted to have little parts of their old lives presented into their new life together.
Something Old ~ During their ceremony, which was a Catholic mass, Jessica & Sean used their baptismal candles from when they were children to light the unity candle – making the unity candle ceremony even more symbolic. The bride also wore her mother’s headpiece & veil on this special day.
Something New ~ I learned during the rehearsal, that traditionally weddings aren’t performed during lent, which made this day extra special. They were devout Catholics that were still able to honor their faith with the beautiful cerermony.
Something Borrowed ~Guests noshed on fine cuisine and danced the night away at the incredibly charming Longwood Community Building. This venue is c-h-a-r-m-i-n-g! Brick streets, never-ending front porch, Victorian style…need I say more to create the romantic wedding vibe?!
Something {Cornflower} Blue ~ The bridesmaids were the splash of color in cornflower blue satin-especially as they gathered with friends & family to shower the sweet couple in petals as they dashed off to their new life together!
As this magic night was coming to an end, the couple was whisked away to their getaway car, as their guests reminicsed on the wonderful blue wedding day they just witnessed!
