Capen House Wedding

We only worked with Sean & Dan for their Capen House Wedding for a few months, but we knew it would be a beautiful day! If you haven’t been to this venue before, we highly suggest you go for a visit. It’s a historically quaint house tucked back on a lake in the middle of gorgeous Winter Park.

There was a slight threat of rain on the wedding day, but we were prepared with a back up tent plan for the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, just in case. Their ceremony took place down by the lake, surrounded by lush greenery and art from the museum. Dan’s brother performed their heartfelt ceremony, and other family members also participated with readings.

Guests made their way closer to the house for the cocktail hour, where they enjoyed light bites, cocktails and a photobooth. The guys walked around the beautiful property to take photos before they joined their guests at the Capen House. They looked very dapper in their custom black tuxedoes that paired perfectly with their anemone boutinnieres (our favorite!)

We worked with them to help pull together the design, including rentals and floral. Their guest count, which was right at 60, was perfect for a reception inside the Capen House. They loved the idea of long tables, so we made sure to incorporate simple garlands around the blue and gold table details. It was simple, yet perfect for this couple’s taste and venue.

After a delicious plated meal and a sweet treat from Sprinkles, the party got started! We enjoyed seeing this great couple truly enjoy their special day with their closest family & friends.
