Earthy Orchid Garden Wedding

Ashley & Marcelo – August 31, 2018 – St. James & Orchid Garden

We helped this couple tie up the loose ends for their Earthy Orchid Garden wedding. They were originally planning a destination wedding out of the country, but had to relocate to Orlando somewhat last minute. We made sure all of the details were in place to make it the wedding they’d always dreamed of!

It was a gorgeous day in August, which is surprising for a summer day in Florida. There were light sprinkles here and there, but the sun kept shining! The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. James Cathedral in Downtown Orlando. The dusty blue bridesmaids dresses popped against the neutral colors of the church. We loved the heartfelt moments and family heirlooms used during the ceremony. The couple sealed their marriage with a kiss in front of 130 of their closest family & friends who traveled from all over. After the ceremony was over, the couple and their bridal party got to take photos throughout the city, including the cobblestone courtyard at the reception venue.

For this Earthy Orchid Garden wedding, they knew they wanted neutral tones and trendy elements incorporated. This unique venue doesn’t need much to dress it up, so the decor only enhanced the space! The mix of long and round tables were dressed in a simple ivory linen. The long tables had a blush gauze runner on them, with centerpieces lining it. The flowers were probably our favorite aspect of this wedding. A mix of tropical, wild and colorful blooms made this one a favorite (did you see Ashley’s bouquet?!)

Once dinner and toasts were done, guests made their way back downstairs for the party to start. This reception was going ALL. NIGHT. LONG. There were even Samba dancers and a confetti blast at midnight!! We really loved watching all of the guests have fun with the newlyweds.
