Fall Pastel Wedding

Amanda & Chris – October 10, 2020 – The Garden Villa

We started working with this couple as Covid was hitting, in the hopes that the would still be able to have their original Fall Pastel wedding as planned. As things progressed, they had decided to downsize their guest list to a smaller celebration and have a bigger party next year for their anniversary, and we can’t wait for that one too!

Amanda knew that she wanted the wedding design to stem from her jewelry that she already had picked out, with pretty pastel colored jewels in it. The bridesmaids wore different colored dresses to reflect this and the flowers had soft, organic touches to them.

We all know that being in Florida means that the weather can be tricky, even in the Fall. This day was no different, as the radar and clouds overhead started to threaten our all-outdoor plans. We made the call to move the reception inside, and were able to still do photos and have their ceremony in such a gorgeous setting!

Amanda & Chris had their first look in the secluded woodsy area of the venue, followed by wedding party photos as a group, before guests started arriving. The ceremony space of this Fall Pastel wedding was beautiful, in a garden, with floral decorating the white gazebo and wooden French Country Chairs on the pavers. The couple was married by a long time friend and colleague of theirs and their ceremony included plenty of heartfelt moments.

Guests enjoyed some air conditioning (why was it so hot & humid on this October day?!) while mingling and enjoying their appetizers indoors. The reception space was simple with ivory table linens and the same ceremony chairs, which enhanced the wooden ceiling beams beautifully! We were so happy that the reception was moved indoors because it absolutely poured during the dinner hour, and the party would have been ruined!

This couple truly enjoyed their special night, although slightly different than what they original envisioned. We can’t wait to celebrate the anniversary of this couple later this year!
