Mariette & Michael – July 18, 2020 – St. Rebekah and Four Seasons Orlando
We worked with this sweet couple from the very beginning, for over a year, not knowing what we would encounter along the way. Their greenery & gold wedding was on the rocks due to covid and travel restrictions, but we made it happen! It was our first wedding back since the world changed, and we were so happy to celebrate safely with this couple.
It was known from the beginning that the decor would be simple with golds, whites and greenery accents. We helped develop the decor and build the amazing vendor team along the way. The challenge was to make sure that the couple, along with their 130 guests were safe in the midst of this pandemic.
The church is where the bride’s family attends and is very close with. It was a beautiful setting, and we accented it with a few arrangements on pedestals for aisle and altar decor. The service was so meaningful and full of elements that involved the couple and their guests. While the ceremony was going on, we were also at the Four Seasons to make sure that all of the reception details came together just as we had imagined. The ceremony ended and guests made their way to the hotel while the newlyweds took photos around the gorgeous property. The bride’s custom gown was stunning and elegant and paired perfectly with the groom’s black tux. We were so lucky that typical summer rainy weather held off for them to be outside, and we got a beautiful sunset that day too!
The reception details of this greenery & gold wedding were timeless and classic! One of our favorites that we helped design was the seating chart in cocktail hour. Set on a large greenery wall, there were handwritten names on clear acrylic pieces, with ‘Your Seat Awaits’ above it and gorgeous floral surrounding it. Inside the spacious ballroom, tables were dressed in soft white linens with gold napkins. More gold accents came in through the chairs and glass charger plates. There was a mix of round and long tables, with coordinating centerpieces. The floral was impactful but filled with soft white floral and greenery. Long tables had tall pieces for dimension and lots of candles for romance in between. The sweetheart table had a custom monogram with a beautiful green garland and candles surrounding them.
The couple made their big entrance and enjoyed their first dance with a surprise for their guests-spark boxes! It made for a wow moment and great photos on their white dance floor. Dinner and cake were served, toasts were made and lots of memories were made with all of their guests.
Mariette & Michael, a huge THANK YOU for letting us plan with you through all of this chaos. We loved seeing all of the greenery & gold wedding details come together and celebrating with you!
