Namrata & Prashanth – November 24 & 25, 2016 – Hilton Orlando, Indian WeddingÂ
When we first talked with Namrata, she knew exactly what she wanted and what her vision would look like. We helped work with vendors to make sure every detail was carried out. We knew this would be a huge undertaking, but were so excited to see this two day Indian Wedding play out!
It was Thanksgiving Day, and while most people were home cooking their turkeys and stuffing, we were up before the sun prepping for the day ahead! The first of four events of this Indian Wedding was the Vidhi. Set up was happening on the Grande Lawn of the Hilton, with two stages and enough chairs for their 300+ guests. A beautiful ceremony took place, welcoming the couple to begin their journey of marriage. A buffet lunch followed before we had to begin set up for the next event.
Thursday evening was a fun celebration – the Garba. The circular lawn was set with cabanas, lounge furniture and brightly colored linens. The couple’s vision was to have a carnival-like celebration, including caricature & henna artists. There was dancing, dancing and more dancing! Oh, and food-there was tons of food, and a Cold Stone Ice Cream Bar too!
Waking up Friday, we knew that it would be an extremely busy and intense day, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. First up was the baraat. This is where the groom makes an almost parade-like entrance with his friends & family surrounding him. But, possibly our favorite part of this entire Indian Wedding was the elephant he rode in on. Talk about making an entrance to your wedding! Imagine Destination Parkway being flooded with an elephant, people dancing, and a DJ & drummer going down the street at 9am. After that, the actual wedding ceremony took place on the circular lawn. It was quite possibly one of the most beautifully decorated ceremonies we’ve ever seen. With bright red draping, crisp white staging and flowers galore, it was the perfect mandap for Namrata & Prashanth to officially become husband & wife.
It was finally time for the culmination, the party and celebration for this Indian Wedding! Friday night was bittersweet for us, as it was the last of 4 events for this client and we got to see all our hard work pay off. Cocktail hour did not disappoint. Guests were entertained with a magician that made his rounds doing card tricks. They could also try their hand at roulette or black jack while mingling with each other. The reception ballroom was decorated so beautifully, based on hues of white & touches of purple. There were lots of crystal elements, from the 5 foot tall chandelier, to the glass sweetheart table and candelabras on the guest tables. After good food, cake and an awesome party vibe, this reception was one for the books!
Namrata & Prashanth, a huge THANK YOU for letting our team be a part of your Indian wedding! We loved celebrating with your families over the 2 days. All the best, always!
