Whitney & Shelton – March 2, 2024 – Maitland Art Center
This intimate blue wedding was also a destination wedding, where most guests (including the couple) were traveling from Louisiana! It was an honor to work with this couple to bring their vision and ideas to life, as we helped them build their vendor team, menu and design!
The couple and their guests were staying not far from the venue, and arrived shortly before the ceremony was set to begin. Everyone was hoping for a sunshine-filled day in the Sunshine State for this intimate blue wedding, but Mother Nature had other plans. We tried to dodge the rain (checking the radar constantly), but ultimately did not win that battle. The couple had a heartfelt ceremony in the chapel, with their guests surrounding them to soak in every minute.
Afterwards, they headed to the tented portion, which was also the reception space, for cocktail hour while the couple took a few photos around the property. A few photos with each other and their family members were taken, but the most important aspect to this couple was actually enjoying the entire wedding with those they cherished most.
The reception portion of the space was made up of long farm tables with pretty white charger plates and blue napkins. Centerpieces were garlands and pops of floral. Our favorite detail was the French Country Chairs, which really tied the look together! Guests enjoyed stations for their meal, and a fun atmosphere all reception long.
Whitney & Shelton, a huge thank you for letting us be a part of your intimate blue wedding! We loved working with you to bring all of the details to life.
