We’re suckers for all things pretty paper and we are seeing more and more clients opt to customize or brand their wedding! We work with local artists to make this happen for our clients and your guests can tell the difference. We recently caught up with Paige, an Orlando Calligrapher and the owner of Two Peas Paper Co, to let you guys get to know her better. We love her work and approach with each client. She can do anything from custom save the dates, invitations, wedding day signage, menus, etc.
We always want to know how business owners got started. Paige was working as a Kindergarten teacher, while she self-taught hand lettering and found it super therapeutic. Derived from her & her husband being ‘two peas in a pod’, Two Peas was born! She soon decided to go full-time into designing & painting stationery and signage, and the rest is history!
As we said before, we love Paige’s approach when working with our couples. “Couples can expect a one-of-a-kind, personality-driven design that speaks deeply into who they are. Personalizing stationery and signage to tell your love story through every brush stroke is what brings me joy every day!” We have even had couples use her work for their stationery even after the wedding into their married lives!
With so many options, we figured there has to be a favorite of hers to create. She said, “signature drink signs, invitation suites, and watercolor seating charts probably top my list of faves”! We love seeing couples get creative with their Orlando Calligrapher when it comes to seating charts or signature drink signs. We’re firm believers in personalizing every aspect of your wedding, truly making it yours! When it comes to more specific details, “I’m currently loving vellum details for stationery. It looks so pretty when we use a vellum overlay on top of your custom watercolor artwork”.
Choosing a stationer can be a very difficult decision. You want to make sure that they understand your vision and can create one of a kind piece(s) for your special day. “Don’t book a stationer based on your desire for them to create a replica of someone else’s artwork or design, but because you love and share their style! Wedding stationery is the first glimpse your guests get into the vision for your entire wedding day. If you’re excited about your wedding invitations, think how excited your guests will be”, says Paige. We couldn’t agree more and think the more personalized the better when it comes to your wedding invitations, signage, menus, programs, signature drink signs, etc. Make it a work of art!
