Perfect Wedding Guide Luncheon – May 17, 2017 – DoubleTree Downtown Orlando
We were approached earlier this year to be a part of an Orlando Wedding Networking Luncheon…talk about a great opportunity! Perfect Wedding Guide has monthly networking meetings, and different vendors are asked to sponsor them. We were honored and got to work right away!
While working with the venue’s representative and the floral designer, we came up with a Fresh Florida Chic theme, perfect for the month of May! After that, we split up the work and started reaching out to preferred vendors to see what they wanted to showcase or offer. We were able to put together a rock star vendor team for this Orlando Wedding Networking Meeting!!
Fellow industry peers arrived in the lobby, and were guided to the 4th floor pool deck for some networking, refreshments and entertainment. We had a steel drum player there to set the tone for the continuing theme, while scrumptious appetizers & cocktails were passed around.
Once the ballroom was ready, vendors made their was downstairs (& indoors, away from the Florida heat!). They were initially welcomed by a perfect set of lounge furniture, provided by Chic! It fit the theme perfectly, and almost everyone tried it out, I’m sure feeling as if they were on vacation somewhere tropical! As vendors entered the ballroom of this Orlando Wedding Networking Meeting, they were immediately overwhelmed (in a good way) of the Fresh Florida Chic theme. Crisp wave-like white table linens dressed the tables. Each table alternated with the centerpiece, either a short, modern centerpiece with bright & vibrant hues of greens and yellows, or a tall, extravagant arrangement of palm fronds in white vases. Our absolutely favorite piece of the design (which totally made the look!) were the gorgeous chairs! They completely enhanced the space, and everyone was commenting on them.
The menu for this event was definitely a huge part of the theme as well. We went with mojo pork, grilled shrimp and mango salsa with rice as the main course. As we were eating, we had a presentation by Shannon Tarrant on marketing tips & tricks. After the presentation, guests could choose their dessert from the nitrogen ice cream station or flavored popsicles. We really knocked it out of the park with this one and loved seeing it all come together.
Something that has maybe never been done before at an Orlando Wedding Networking Meeting was that we turned this design into a mini styled photoshoot. We had a model in a theme-matching wedding dress by Sarah Seven pose around the property & on the design pieces. This way, vendors could get real marketing material for their businesses, even after doing only a luncheon.
We can’t thank this team of vendors enough for all of their hard work, time, dedication, products or services!
