Emily & Cole – October 8, 2016 – Paradise Cove
We started working with this sweet couple very early in the planning process. They had secured their wedding venue, and had ideas of how they wanted their Paradise Cove wedding to turn out. We were happy to help them with every step of the planning process, although we had some unforseen bumps along the way.
After we nailed down the design, incorporating colors of blues & greys, we got to work! We helped this couple secure their perfect vendor team, including lots of meetings, planning and paperwork. That was the easy part!
Let’s flash forward to late September, where we first started hearing threats of the ominous Hurricane Matthew. This is any bride’s nightmare, and when you have something so unpredictable as weather, it quickly became our nightmare as well. With the threat of the storm hitting Central Florida, we had to face reality and start to expect the worse. After having a contingency plan in place and communicating with all vendors constantly for 3 days straight, all we could do was wait for the storm to make its path.
Boy, did we dodge a bullet with this one! Matthew was definitely not a guest that was welcome at this celebration, and he made sure to stay away! The weather could not have been more perfect for this Paradise Cove Wedding! Guests (from near and very far away) were able to witness this sweet couple tie the knot. The beach setting made for a relaxed, loving feeling. But, our favorite part was watching the Groom and his men make their entrance by boat! It certainly allowed Cole to have his moment to shine.
Once their ceremony was complete, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the sand and at the tiki bar while the couple took their photos. We were hard at work making sure the reception was looking perfect. The royal blue table linens featured grey napkins and beachy centerpieces, including eclectic lanterns, seashells and mason jars. Guests ate (can we mention that the food was amazing?!), drank and enjoyed a plethora of desserts (flaming donuts anyone?!), all while dancing and celebrating the night away with the newlyweds.
Emily & Cole, we absolutely loved working with you to bring your vision to life for your Paradise Cove Wedding! It was so great working with your families, their cultures and our vendor team to pull this one off! XOXO
