Kelly & Andrew – October 25, 2014 – Maitland Art Center
It’s always a treat when you get to plan a great wedding with not only the bride, but also her mother. They were both very involved throughout the planning process, and the final outcome was a joint effort! With Kelly living out of town, her mother stepped in to fill in the blanks for us and played a crucial part in helping us pull everything all together.
The ceremony took place on the Event Lawn, located right next to the Germain Marvel Building and the Mayan Chapel. It was truly a beautiful set up, with branches forming the arch, adorned with seasonal floral in coral and ivory tones. The floral design made from rose petals on the grass was picture perfect. With their personalized ceremony and original vows, you can tell this couple was lighthearted and very much in love. Cocktail hour on the patio was accompanied by the sounds of the string musicians used for the ceremony. Guests mingled, took in the artistic & historic ambiance of the venue and truly enjoyed this beautiful occasion.
Once the double glass doors were opened, guests took their seats and the reception started with the couple’s first dance as husband & wife. The room was decorated in coral, brown and ivory. My favorite décor item was the structure that stood behind the Head Table. It was beautifully draped in ivory fabric, with their monogram hanging from it. This was a gift to Kelly from her bridesmaids, so it was touching to see a special gift take place at the reception.
After the buffet (a delicious one, too!) dinner, family slideshow and speeches were complete, Soundwave Entertainment got the party started the right way! Most guests didn’t leave the dance floor all night! A sparkler exit to the surprise limo for the Bride & Groom put the finishing touches on this seemingly perfect wedding.
Kelly & Andrew, Thank you for having us on your special day! We were so happy to be a part of your wedding, and wish you all the best!
