Geri & Gary – February 28, 2015 – Private Residence

Small weddings are a nice change of pace every once in a while for us. This wedding was small, but it was a BIG party crowd! Everyone was dancing all night long with close friends & loved ones, and celebrating with the newlyweds! We loved working with Geri & Gary to transform their home living space into a wedding space.

It was sprinkling rain all day, so we had to go with our ‘Plan B’, which was to have the ceremony inside their living room instead of out by the dock and lake. It worked out well because it made for a more intimate space, with everyone’s eyes on Geri as she glided down the aisle. With the sliding glass doors open, guests still had a beautiful panoramic view of the lake and lit dock area. Glynn Ferguson provided a joyful & heartfelt ceremony, including a personalized reading by Geri’s son. Our favorite part was watching the Bride & Groom dance, yes dance, back up the aisle after being pronounced husband & wife!

Once the ceremony was finished, {and of course the rain had cleared by then}, it was time to get the party started! The ceremony chairs were moved out of the way, which transformed the space into a dance floor for the rest of the night. Heavy hors’ doeurves were served, the gorgeous cake was cut, cupcakes were served, and good times were had by all! Every guest was out on the dance floor at some point in the night!
