We started working with this couple for their Rollins Wedding to help them bring ideas and their vision together. The groom’s parents were married in Knowles Chapel too, so it was such a special occasion to repeat and be a part of!
You’ve heard the saying “it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day”, right? Well, Elma & Jimmy should have lots and lots of luck since it rained buckets most of their wedding day! (April showers weren’t kidding this day). Still, we made the best of it with a great vendor team! The bride and her gal pals were busy getting ready at The Alfond Inn while we were setting up and preparing for their Rollins Wedding all across the gorgeous campus.
After their ceremony in the historic chapel, guests made their way over to the Rice Pavilion for cocktail hour while the couple took photos around property. The reception space is so beautiful and actually used to be the student center on campus. The arches added a unique dimension to the room, but our favorite part was the extensive head table that sat 36 people! All guest tables were dressed in ivory linens with gold rimmed chargers, blush pink napkins and mahogany chiavari chairs. Romantic candlelight on all tables enhanced the ambiance of the space around the different centerpieces of greenery and white floral.
After a delicious plated meal, a cake cutting and a traditional mariachi band performance, the party began for this fun group! We loved watching this couple enjoy their wedding with all their loved ones.
Elma & Jimmy, a huge thank you for letting us be a part of your Rollins Wedding! Wishing you many many years of happiness!
