If you’re looking for a great Orlando Calligrapher, look no further than our friend at Rosebud Calligraphy! Her traditional style and beautiful writing will be perfect for any couple and wedding aesthetic. We recently caught up with Katherine to hear more about her story for you!
She got started after realizing she didn’t have a hobby and picked up calligraphy while working in hotel sales & events. Clients were asking her to do small projects and her hobby quickly became a passion and her full time career began shortly after. She named her company Rosebud because that was her nickname growing up based on her middle name, Rose. “The joy I find in creating beautiful, bespoke stationery for special occasions is truly unmatched”, Katherine shares.
When working with Katherine, we can attest that you work with Katherine directly. You can expect a personalized and seamless experience from start to finish. We love how she’s in constant communication and dedicated to making it as enjoyable as possible. She offers design guidance so that you’re getting something truly bespoke for your wedding!
Many wonder how packages and pricing works for calligraphers and designers. This Orlando Calligrapher has minimums for custom invitation suites of $1,000 plus a design fee. Or larger invitation suites are priced as a package, depending on the number of paper goods are in them. If you’re looking for just day of goods, there’s a smaller minimum and delivery fee for those. She has an extensive inventory of gorgeous mirrors to write on for your Welcome Sign, Bar Sign, Seating Chart, etc, which are priced on their own as well!
When we asked Katherine about her favorite trend, she said textures and layers in their stationery. She loves working with ribbons, wax seals and vellum to add a more personal touch and luxurious feel. We love seeing custom suites that include these design elements as well. As we always say, your invitations set the tone for your wedding way before your guests even arrive, so make it a wow factor for them!
Lastly, Katherine’s advice for couples looking for custom paper goods is to start as early as possible. Custom Invitation Suites should be ordered at the 4 month mark, so this is something to consider if you’re wanting to go this route. She shared to know your overall look and feel of the wedding and see if any designer matches that when you’re searching. You’ll be working on so many small details with them from fronts to colors to paper types and more, so you want to like them too! Don’t forget to enjoy the process while you’re at it, while trusting the designer to bring your vision to life 😉
