Something to consider when planning your wedding is branded paper goods. This can be in the form of pre-wedding day papers like Save the Dates and Invitations, or signage, programs, table numbers, seating charts, etc at the wedding itself. It’s important that your wedding signage is cohesive because your guests will notice this elevated touch! We’ve compiled some of our favorites we’ve seen lately and will probably do a part two of this to show more!
Welcome Sign
It seems silly to have, but it’s nice for your guests to be welcomed to your wedding. This can be in the foyer of the church, at the cocktail hour or at the back of the ceremony chairs. It’s also nice to keep in your home as a keepsake after the wedding! This custom piece included the couple’s crest on it, which is something they will cherish forever.
Ceremony Sign
If you’re not putting a welcome sign at your ceremony, you might want to consider this idea. Lots of couples are choosing to have an ‘unplugged’ ceremony, where guests can be fully present. One way to notify them of this wish is with a sign, or also put it in your program. Other examples of ceremony signage could be custom directional signage for guests to know the areas they are expected to be in if your venue is more spread out. We loved these hand-painted (in wedding colors of course) sign letting guests know what to except during their ceremony.
Seating Chart
This is probably one of our favorite pieces of wedding signage! The options for a seating chart are literally endless. To put it simply, it needs to have your guests’ names and table numbers on it. How you decide to display that is the fun part! We have seen something extravagant involving food or drinks, cards for guests to take off of a wall or even just a simple print out. This couple chose to write each guest a love letter that they could take off the wall to keep forever, and it also had their table number on it to let them know where they were sitting. Talk about the personal touch!
Custom Signage
Something that really incorporates a personal touch is custom artwork. This couple had a signature drink sign that illustrated the bride’s beloved horse on it. It’s something you can add to your bar area at home to cherish long after the wedding too. We also see a lot of pets, monograms or fun facts on cocktail napkins.
However you decide to incorporate wedding signage, make sure it’s all cohesive and as personal as possible. Bonus if it’s something you can display in your home after the wedding! We are here for any ideas or advice, so just ask!
