Winter Park Racquet Club Wedding

Julia & Branden – December 7, 2019 – St. James & Winter Park Racquet Club

This Winter Park Racquet Club Wedding was simple, but still gorgeous. The couple really just wanted to celebrate that they were getting married, without a lot of fluff. We want to say that they were ahead of a current trend that we’re seeing because of everything that is going on right now 😉

They got ready at the beautiful Alfond Inn with their best friends by their side. Being in December, the girls were wearing super comfy outfits and cozy slippers while they got pampered and sipped mimosas! They chose not to do a first look before their traditional church wedding, and we loved seeing the anticipation build in everyone. After the mass was over, the couple took a few photos before boarding the bus to the reception venue.

While their ceremony was going on, we were busy at the reception venue making sure every detail was perfect. Julia knew she wanted long communal tables, and it worked in the dining room beautifully. Tables had a simple ivory linen and black napkin at each place setting, and guests sat in classic gold chivari chairs. Greenery garlands lined the entire table, along with literally hundreds of candles. The star of the room was the venue’s Christmas Tree, which fit the look and provided a great backdrop for the head table!

Guests arrived to this Winter Park Racquet Club Wedding to enjoy cocktail hour on the pool deck, and with perfect weather we might add! Dinner was in the newly renovated (like a week before this wedding!) dining room, which was flooded by natural light as the sun was setting. The ambiance of this room was on point for an intimate-feeling reception, even with 100 people. It was simple, yet so romantic.

After dinner, guests transitioned back outside for the rest of the evening, filled with lots of fun and dancing with the live band! The couple’s family provided a decadent dessert table with enough sweets to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth all night long.
