You guys are in for a treat this week! It’s the start of a new month–a busy one for us! We wanted to educate all of you this week about a Wedding Checklist. We provide all of our couples with their own and wanted to share some of the details with you. We’re chatting about the overall flow in this post.
We hear it alllllll the time–“I have a date, but not a venue”. That, my friends, is a false statement. We advise to have times of the year in mind, maybe even days of the week, but not a set date in your head when you start looking at venues. You do not really have a date until you have a venue. If you start the planning with a specific date in mind, then visit venues that are all booked on that date, you’re already letting yourself down. However, if you know you want to get married ‘sometime in the Spring’, that helps your luck when starting the search!
Once you have a place & day you’re getting married, the real planning can begin! Our services include helping you find the perfect vendors, and also who to stay away from, based on our experiences. We recommend vendors based on your style & budget, so it saves you time in the process. Floral meetings, venue walk thrus, planning meetings, oh my! Simultaneously, you are working on details like shopping for your dress, bridesmaids dresses, tuxes, etc. There are fun things on your wedding checklist that you get to do like create your wedding registries, have your bridal shower, shop for invitations, accessories and honeymoon outfits.
It isn’t until we get closer to the big day that all of the details fall into place. Once we’ve helped you create your vendor team and pull together the design, the real fun (for us) happens! We work with you to make sure a seamless timeline is created (with your vendors’ input), have all layouts worked out, logistics are in place, and orders are confirmed. We like to tell brides the last few weeks of their planning should be focused on them. We handle everything as far as making sure everything comes together nicely, so you worry about your family & friends, and of course, each other.
